Researchers from the University of Szeged (SZTE) have developed, in cooperation with the Buda Health Centre Ltd. and IFUA Horváth & Partners Ltd., an application that can diagnose MR images of the spine.
The HUF 1.179 billion R&D project was funded by the National Research, Development, and Innovation Office.

Within the framework of the EMUSE project, a joint training event and consortium meeting was held in Szeged, organized by the participating colleagues of the Department of Software Engineering.
The event lasted from the 20th of November to the 28th, with five days devoted to training and two to the consortium.

The University of Szeged, in consortium with numerous other Hungarian universities and research facilities, submitted a successful proposal to establish an EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) focusing on Artificial Intelligence research. Our focus at SZTE will be AI assisted healthcare and telemedicinal approaches.

The Institute of Informatics at our University has joined the Artificial Intelligence National Laboratory (MILAB).
MILAB is a coordinated national artificial intelligence umbrella organization created to facilitate the collaboration between major research centers, universities, and large-scale national programs with the goal of strengthening Hungary's position in AI.

The SZTE Department of Software Engineering and the MTA-SZTE Research Group on Artificial Intelligence have won a tender in a joint consortium with the Buda Health Center Ltd. (The National Center for Spinal Disorders) and the IFUA Horváth & Partners Ltd. titled “AUTORAD” – Research, development of an intelligent automatic spinal MR diagnostic and visualized reporting system and its integration into patient care process.
