ICST 2023 conference

Dr. Árpád Beszédes, Dr. Tamás Gergely, Péter Soha, and Attila Szatmári participated in the 16th IEEE International Conference on Software Testing, Verification and Validation (ICST), a premier conference in the field of software testing research and practice, held in Dublin, Ireland between 16-20th of April.

The team presented the papers “A Case Against Coverage-Based Program Spectra” and "Systematically Generated Formulas for Spectrum-Based Fault Localization."

Péter Soha and Attila Szatmári participated in the doctoral symposium, presenting the current state of their respective research areas and getting valuable feedback.

Moreover, the team had two posters and a tool demo of FLaaS.

The presentations held at the conference encompassed a variety of current topics, such as introducing testing very early on into programming education alongside the teaching of the languages themselves; gamification tools to make stale educational materials more engaging; and ChatGPT’s effects on education, code testing, and its possible pitfalls.
