A paper titled “FoBSim: an extensible open-source simulation tool for integrated fog-blockchain systems” by Hamza Baniata​ and Attila Kertész (Department of Software Engineering) has been published in the prestigious open access journal PeerJ.

The paper introduces a new Fog-Blockchain simulator, called FoBSim, to serve as a simulation environment for both Fog Computing and Blockchain validation. The novel approach could be a valuable aid in the development of these quickly emerging technologies.
