Paper on improving ddmin published in IEEE Access

December 16, 2020

Dr. Ákos Kiss’s (Department of Software Engineering) article titled “Generalizing the Split Factor of the Minimizing Delta Debugging Algorithm” was accepted into IEEE’s open access journal, IEEE Access.

With this research, the author aims to improve upon the old yet popular ddmin algorithm, by introducing a new split factor parameter. Finding a new algorithm variant, and thereby improving on ddmin’s results, could speed up the test case reduction by eliminating up to 84% of the test steps.

The paper is available in IEEE’s digital library.
