The paper titled “Grammarinator Meets LibFuzzer: A Structure-Aware In-Process Approach”, written by Dr. Renáta Hodován and Dr. Ákos Kiss, won the Best Paper Award at the ICSOFT 2025 conference.
The article was presented at the ICSOFT Conference in Bilbao. In it, the authors introduce a new guided structure-aware fuzzer that combines Grammarinator's structured input generation with LibFuzzer's feedback-driven guidance. This hybrid approach allows for effective testing using just a grammar description of the input format. Evaluations show it achieves better code coverage and finds more unique bugs than either tool alone.
