This project was financed by the Hungarian National Technology Program.

The overall objective of the project was to develop software quality assurance services for the applications of the ISO standard Open Document Format. Some applications conforming to this standard: OpenOffice.org and its derivatives like Sun StarOffice, IBM Lotus Symphony, MultiRáció EuroOffice 2008, and extensions and add-on modules connected to these applications.

The secondary objective was to develop software quality assurance tools and services for the mobile and telecommunications environment, and XML (ODF) verification of document exchange.

The main outcome of the project was promoting ODF applications in the software market by making the development and maintenance of these applications more effective. For the implementation of research tasks, a consortium was formed by three small and medium sized enterprises and three universities. The project through the R&D activities of the consortium contributed to increasing the competitiveness of Hungarian software industry and also the whole economy.

The duration of the project was 30 months.

The project partners were Multiráció, Polygon Informatics Ltd., Sun Microsystems Hungary Computing Ltd., Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and the University of Szeged, Department of Software Engineering.

The total project budget is over 3 million EUR.

  • Adaptation and integration of the components of the Monitoring system
  • Adaptation and improvement of impact analysis methods
  • Code quality improvement
  • Developing product and process based qualification schema for ODF applications and mobile environment
