An article by Dr. Attila Kertész and András Márkus (Department of Software Engineering) has been published in the 67th issue of HiPEACinfo, which focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT).
Their article showcases the DISSECT-CF-Fog simulator they developed, which can be used to model IoT-fog-cloud infrastructures. Simulation tools provide a cost-effective substitute for real-world frameworks. It is necessary to test fog computing concepts and procedures before they go live so they can be seamlessly implemented alongside cloud technologies.
