Free Software Conference 2022

May 20, 2022

The 10th Free Software Conference, which originates from the University of Szeged’s Software Engineering Department, was held at great success on May 13th in Agóra, Szeged.

More than 30 intriguing presentations were held in three halls simultaneously, all of which were also streamed online for those joining from afar. This year, more than 220 registrants visited the conference in-person, while approximately 140 attended online.

The conference made significant steps forward from previous years. First of all, this was the first year that the conference was partially international: out of the 33 presentations, 8 were in English, including 3 speakers from the Czech Republic and 1 from Austria. Second of all, this was the first year that all presentations were broadcast live, which required a much higher technical background. The quality of this is reflected in the presentation recordings, which will be available soon on the conference’s website.

Until then, you can already take a look at this year’s photos on the conference’s Instagram page!
